The Chris Brown and Drake saga continues to unfold with more witnesses and evidence.
After Drake denied being a part of the brawl that took place during the wee hours of Thursday morning between his and Brown’s entourages, there is new evidence that proves that he was involved. New York City police investigators have questioned Brown and he has allegedly given them “physical evidence” that Drake actually participated in the fight.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos reportedly went to the NYPD on the evening after the brawl took place to give detectives undisclosed evidence that places Drake and rapper Meek Mill at the center of the fight. Geragos alleges that both men were, in fact, the instigators of the battle.

At this time, Brown is a victim, not a suspect in the case, according to police officials. The R&B performer sustained an open gash to his chin during the fight. Fists, glasses, ice buckets and bottles were reportedly thrown across the club during the melee. The incident resulted with five people injured. Brown’s bodyguard, Big Pat, sustained a serious head injury.
According to GossipCop, the actual fight began when Drake looked “pissed” and “serious,” and after an unknown provocation, a member of his party picked up a bottle and hit Brown directly in the face with it. The website’s eyewitness said that Brown and Drake never physically touched each other.
There are some rumors that the brawl began after Brown allegedly sent Drake’s table a champagne bottle, only to have Drake send back an inflammatory note. Drake’s message was about the singer’s ex, Rihanna, which is what supposedly set off the violence.
Brown’s Phase Too management tweeted, “There was no bottle sent to @drake and there was no note! Stop the lies, TMZ/MTO!!!! There were no punches thrown, just glass.”
Eyewitness told TMZ that Brown was hanging in the VIP with a group of 16 other guys. A man with dreadlockes in the entourage was throwing gang signs and screaming at Drake’s table. He allegedly was the primary instigator in the brawl. He also allgedly directed some of his anger at Drake’s friend Meek Mill, “F**k you, we’re gonna kill you n*gga.”
24-year-old Australian tourist Hollie was hit in the head during melee. She received 16 stitches. Hollie explained, “Within a few moments of noticing glass being thrown around, I saw a glass bottle headed towards me; consequently hitting me in the head. I immediately started to bleed and proceeded to fall in and out of consciousness. [After she left the hospital] I had to take the subway home with no money or jacket. Nobody would even sit beside me. My friends were so scared because they did not know where I was.”
Events are still unfolding, so stay tuned.
